A meaningful 4v4 PvP format with its own ladder.

Although i am looking forward to nightfall, i am kinda worried that the game is gonna start getting really cluttered. 3 continents, 10 classes - its getting very big. Also, new games every 6 months - ppl are gonna stop buying. I have barely explored 50% of cantha, and have so much more to do. Hardly any builds have developed using factions skills and classes, and its just gonna get worse. I think that the new classes will be interesting, but im probably looking forward to new scenery and enemies the most.

I would like to see a much longer story line, no FedEx quests, more skill quests, a bigger map (The map of Cantha was physically big enough but we didn't have assess to all of it) and alot more PvE content sepperated from PvP but I'll probably have to go to LOTRO to get that. Yes I'll have to pay to play but at least I'll get away from the 1337ness of the kiddys.

*we hates the 1337 ones, they stole our precious*

PvE content that takes at least a month to finish with one character...
PvE content that is, well really PvE content and not mini-PvP games with no meaning.
PvE areas that are explorable and not behind locked gates (there are other ways to stop "runners" if that were the reason for them - I'll list a few below).
PvE roleplay options like the Factions game box lied to us about. Improved AI in PvE.
PvE skill balance to compensate for AI or lack there of in many cases.
PvE end game that isn't locked behind a really dumb favor system or faction farming alliance.
More soloable areas (not for farming, but for testing ones skill); like those in the Monestary where you are tested.
Many more PvE missions with actually bonuses that differ from the primary goals (so that the mission "feels" like two missions).
Fewer quests that make us feel like unpaid Fed-Ex employees.
More quests that take place over a long span and over many different zones without having to go back and forth.
PvE festivals and celebrations that take place in hard to get to villages within instanced areas (make it an adventure to play too).
Radomly generated PvE quests that send players to different zones after a "bounty" or "item hunt".
In general, the many PvE enhancements that have been made throughout the many fan forums.

Stopping runners, if that was truely the reason behind the locked gates can be stopped by:

Having merchants only speak to you after you have completed X Mission (no running to city X to get end game armor).
Having merchants only sell to you after you have achieved or completed certain quests, maybe within a chain.

The above would allow for exploration (which is fun) while stopping some of the reasons for being run somewhere.

Since my favorite part of GW is the "casual" PVP (i.e. the kind where you don't have to spend 30 minutes getting in a group), I'm hoping there's a new format similar to Aspenwood or Alliance Battles.

I am in the minority of people who actually still ENJOY the game, it seems So, yeah, I'm pretty much looking forward to everything; new armor, new scenery, new quests, etc etc. More rp options would be nice, though.

I guess I'm looking forward to the new landscapes/maps, and the hope that Anet makes these new chars so radically different. I mean, come on, the Paragon is a glorified W and the Dervish is a Mo/W, from what I've heard so far. I like the themes of Cantha, but the new classes from that, especially the A, was particularly disappointing. Anet really nned to vamp these new chars and make them completely different then what you can do for class combinations today.

i'm hoping for a much longer game. they need to do like Prophecies, where there are different types of landscapes (in Factions half the map was a ruined oriental city). they need some new options to do once you beat the game too, because in Factions you just get new armor and a new wep and thats all. but mostly i wanna buy my ranger all the purty armor the new map will have and look at new pets and landscapes...

Heh heh, sure the new content will be cool, and maybe the classes. I just want new warrior armor.

I'm looking forward to everything new. I guess I'm one of the few who remembers this is a game we play, and don't get hung up on everything that doesn't go the way I want.

New weapons, new armor, new professions, new skills, new characters, new maps, hopefully new mission and quest types; I'm very excited for Nightfall to come out so soon. You people who have to gripe about something should give it a rest already.

I agree.

Also:

-IMPROVED UI (everything, including the Options window.)
-IMPROVED Chat system
-Skill Set System!
-More Emotes for all classes
-Reconnects from disconnected sessions
-FIX what's broken in game (spans multiple issues)
-BETTER Tutorial Area for New and current Classes (Teach them more)
-Bigger and Better Creatures to slay. (were not enough of them in Factions)
-A Storyline that will take atleast a MONTH to FINISH.
-UNIQUE PvE items, other than changing skins and names. (we are not stupid)
-BETTER way to achieve getting skills. (all skills including Elites other than the skill trainer and bosses)
-UNIQUE PvP arenas and play modes (Battle Islands is old and tired)
-BETTER Titles System
-BETTER Hierarchy System for Guilds and Alliances
-IMPROVED Map System (The Boat thing is inefficient, something Google Earth like would be better)

I can go on and on, but I know they won't do much. They are gonna slap on a bandage and try to sell the same ol' stuff again.

I want to see explorable cities, more open land, landscapes, weapons, armour and skills. A long storyline which has a Night Shymalan style twist at the end (He makes the best thrillers).

I know personally, I'm hoping that it is much longer then Faction's was. Factions was way too short compared to prophecies, and faction's is getting boring very quick (imo). I'm just looking forward to new material that will last me longer then a month, and not have me with nothing to do but farm and title hunt. I also look forward to the new classes, and to see how well they will combine with other classes skills (I'm predicting some awsome Dervish/Assassin builds my self).

What's everyone else looking forward to about Nightfall?

yeah my first and only prohesies character only made it to kryta before i realised that my character sucked because i had one combo (immolation or w/e arrows and dual shot) and i just lost interest because the storyline was to slow....

HOWEVER in factions it is much faster...but much too controled....and i feel the storyline was scattered and when i got out of the city i was like HALLELUYAH grass the into arborstone there was confusing and controling paths......and thats where i am now...at house zu heltzertrying to cap the skill that will complete my assassin build FINALLY!!!! AoD FTW

Im able to keep my interest in factions better...i just want the best of both worlds...and then i will be happy/er
